Expansive

Voice Work

Expansive voice work supports finding vocal flexibility through extension of your range, and expansion of the timbre and colors of your voice.

This work draws on what is referred to as the human voice work in the lineage of Roy Hart and Alfred Wolfsohn (sometimes referred to as extended voice work or expansive voice work). It helps to discover the emotional truth in sounds you may not have previously imagined yourself capable of making. This type of work is beneficial for performers of all levels from singer/songwriters searching for a unique sound to actors and singers who want to develop a versatile instrument for performing (this includes those who dream of karaoke stardom too!)

  • “Wynde is the real deal.
As a performer and a collaborator they are a committed and curious individual and these same traits make them an excellent voice instructor. They apply a rigor to their research and practice that enables them and others to take creative risks. Wynde trusts their students, collaborators and theirself which allows us all to take off and explore uncharted territory. I have been lucky to be a student of theirs and a theatrical research partner, and in both realms there is a horizontal nature to power that Wynde offers lets the work evolve without judgment or censor. As a professional, Equity actor I feel lucky to have a collaborator and voice teacher in Wynde and get pleasure from watching their work progress and soar. I highly recommend working with Wynde if you are looking to root your voice in practice, breath, self and space through practical tools and generous support.” -M.H.D.B
